The story of Rabbit and the Turtle

A new look into an old time story ... lesson learned

· Collaboration,Think win-win,Team Work,Innovation

I read and remember this story about the "Race between the Rabbit and Turtle" since my childhood day. Interestingly, I remember the details of the story and the moral of the story "Slow & Steady wins the Race" till today. This is the real power of learning through gamification.

However, I have a fresh new discoveries about the moral of the story after viewing this interesting video by Faizan Baig. Now I have rewired the learning to embrace more learning.

Lesson learned

1/ Slow and steady wins the race

2/ Fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady

3/ First identify your core competency and then change the playing field to suit your core competency

4/ It's good to be individually brilliant and to have strong core competencies but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each other's core competencies, you'll always performed below par because there will always be situations at which you will do poorly and someone else does well.

Team Work is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person with relevant core competency for a situation to take leadership.
